A private estate is seeking a Full-Time Horticulturist to support the care and enhancement of a luxury property’s gardens and grounds. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone passionate about plants, outdoor work, and collaboration. Whether you bring formal horticulture experience or strong landscaping knowledge with a desire to grow, we’re open to training the right candidate who demonstrates curiosity, initiative, and a strong work ethic.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Maintaining and enhancing gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas across the property

  • Planting, pruning, fertilizing, and caring for trees, shrubs, flowers, and seasonal plantings

  • Monitoring plant health and identifying pests, diseases, or irrigation issues

  • Assisting with irrigation maintenance and adjustments to support plant health

  • Supporting seasonal projects, garden installations, and landscape improvements
  • Operating and maintaining horticultural tools and equipment (training provided)

  • Assisting with general grounds upkeep and supporting team members as needed

  • Working independently on assigned tasks and communicating updates to the supervisor

What We’re Looking For

  • Around 2 years of related experience (horticulture, landscaping, groundskeeping, nursery work, or similar)

  • Passion for plants, landscapes, and outdoor work

  • Knowledge of plant care, pruning, and seasonal maintenance (or willingness to learn)

  • Interest in continuing education and certifications (horticulture, irrigation, pesticide applicator, arborist, etc.)

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and seasonal needs

  • Team-oriented with a positive, “pitch in where needed” mindset

  • Strong work ethic and reliability
